Not just a casual friend. And you would have had to know them forever. And really trust them. And the secret can't be anything really bad. Because if for some reason you ever stop being friends, even temporarily, it can, and in most most cases, definitely will, be used against you. And even if they never tell, it can still be used for judgment purposes if it's really bad. I would say in most cases it's probably best to keep your deepest darkest secrets to yourself. If you have to tell somebody, talk to God.

Definitely no! The reason it is called darkest is because it's not a good one. Even though your friend is a very honest person and you know for sure she/he will not tell anyone else but you have to think of her/his point of view. They might look at you differently after that. You can't read people's mind. Secrets should remain as secrets. By just telling people that you have a secret, that's already revealing half of your secrets.

It depends on what is the Dark Secret? If something is happening or going on with you be precosious if about another family member Its none of your friends business, for example I reveal a dark secret and will you tell someone? here we go, My uncle who has five kids had a secred affair with my grandmother when they where younger! and my grandmother has two sons, my father and his brother, but what people dont know is that son she had was not of my grandfather but of my fathers sister's husband(my other uncle) whooooooowoooooo man its soo good to get that off my shoulders.. can I trust you guys?

It depends on what the secret is and how long she has been your best friend. If it's not something you want someone to ever know then don't share. Telling secrets has a way of coming back to bite you in the butt

two imp factors : the friend and the secret. if ur friend is really a one, then go ahead, no matter of what the secret is. but if the friend is ???##@! then, u should not!

in that case i feel, friend is more of an important factor than the secret.

It depends on how much you trust your friend. One thing is certain, its better to tell it to someone you feel comfortable with.
Secrets , especially the dark ones can totally steal the life out of you.

Nope. Your best friend could be there for you today and then end up losing him/her in the future.
