remember, nook changes his items every day. one day he might be selling a fishing rod and a shovel, the next it'll be the net and a shovel, the next.. well, i'm sure you get the point.

if it's not for sale on one particular day, you need to wait for the next day, to check his items for sale

by the way, animal crossing was never made for the gameboy. i'm pretty sure you're talking about the DS
