Because whats good for the world is good for us. Lets face it poverty will NEVER be resolved. There are some redneck trailer trash hicks out there that will not work (even if they are able) and the will continue to live of government funding.
Poloticians will always be out to make money or a name for themselves, the government will always try to cover up misteaks, and the media will always uncover them and make them 10x worse than what they really are.
And no matter what Americans will always complain, just like your doing right now.
We have to help out the rest of the world, cause if we dont it just means bad things for us in the long run. Think about this, before The United States entered world war 2, Nazi Germany had taken over a very large portion of Europe. Granted Pearl Harbor did push us into the war, but for the sake of the point im trying to make, lets say we were unaffected by the war and we decided how focus on how to build a better refridgerator (i dunno). Today the Nazi's would still be in power in europe, and Jews, gays, and all the other groups (hated by the Nazi's) would all be dead.
We have to stay involved in world events, Why cause we live on this earth too! We dont live on another planet All the countries are in this together! Problems that arn't our's now will soon become ours! When we ignore problems things like 9/11 happen. Had we gotten Osama Bin Laden when we had the chance thousands of yankee loveing New Yorkers could have survived. So your question is why did we stop Bin Laden before then? My answer is people like yourselves, and contries would have asked why we are messing with things in the middle east.
Assumeing ive convinced you of something, heres what will help America out. Be a good citizen, dont try to find ways to thwart our government, dont start anti-war rallies, just be liberty loving people and VOTE! Our government is under enough pressure as is! we are the last surviveing super power in the world which means everyone is watching us! And with the media makeing a story out of everything the government does its a wonder why poloticians are so crooked and deseptive! Try your hardest to trust your government and support our troops. In God we trust!

Those in power are pursuing a global policy... it is not without precedent. To 'make the world safe for democracy' was the stated agenda of Wilson, and to a lesser degree all of the presidents up through the end of the cold war.
The problems here as not as big of a threat as problems abroad are. For all the problems that one may list that exist in this country, there is a simple response. "Poor people" in this country die from obesity. Our problems are minor.

Because that´s the way to get away with murder, trying to look as the good guys who take care for every other person in the world. While the truth is the opposite, everything is done according to the welfare of the ones in high spheres of power, and **** everyone else!

because we are the nurse maid to the world. we have our own resources and believe it or not...no matter what happens to us as a nation we have the ability to all come together when needed. third world countries do not, they are only for themselves. besides, we have hunger and stuff like that here in the states, but if those who are in need would just open their eyes and grab a phone book....they would see help is only an 800 number away. they could just find a telephone book and wah-lah, a church or some other oraganization who rescue them

Havn't you been reading the paper. Things are great here.
No child has been left behind. They've all gone to Iraq.
The rich are richer than ever. The poor are poorer than ever.
Everything thats supposed to be up is up and everything thats supposed to be down is down. Even good news is up. I think I read that in the american spectator.

by taking care of other countries , we are talking care of our own... its a very small world these days... its completely globalized. People have to stop pretending we would be better off isolated.
