50:1 is correct. I would also keep the fuel stabilized. That engine is a very strong engine, I think you'll be pleased.

50:1 (3oz of oil to every gallon of gas) use "Carbon Guard" fuel additive, fuel is crummy now, it will make the motor last longer (Carbon cakes onto the rings of the piston, they eventually break off from it). Carbon Guard is cheap, and very concentrated, so a little goes a long way (1oz. treats 8 gallons of gas). I started using it when a friend poured it into his fuel 0n his 20 yr old outboard, I asked if it really did anything for the motor, he pulled out a spark plug and showed me, squeeky clean, I swear by the stuff, so does he, so does his 20 yr old outboard, hope this helps
