How would I go about setting up a server?

Need a simple server, with ability for two people on site to access and two to three people from a remote site to access.

Access how? Server is nothing more than a computer with resources made available via network. What type of resources do you plan to make available??

Also, what kind of network are you talking about? Do you have a fixed IP and connected to the Internet, or are you talking about via modem?

Or - are you talking about people taking over your console, such as VNC or terminal server type environment?
