how do i change my IP adress,i have time warner internet
(the motem thing)

and i wanna know how i change my IP adress cause i got banned from most of the sites on my favorite list cause my bro was messing with my stuff.

The easiest way to do this is to unplug your cable modem for a few hours. Odds are someone else will log on and take the IP address which you had been using.

You do have to wait a while though. If you just unplug and then plug back in again, most of the time you'll get the same address you started with.

A more technical way of doing it that isn't guaranteed to work would be to go Start -> Run -> cmd and typing ipconfig /renew. That tells your network card to get a new IP address from the host. But cable ISPs will frequently just assign you the IP you had before, so it doesn't always work.

The only other way you can change you IP is to get a new ISP.

Well, you can try unplugging your Cable modem, then replugging it. It might give you a new IP address, unless you have a Static IP address

Or tip. Use a proxy when accessing these sites. This might help you out. You can use google as a proxy.
