A lot of people have brought up the fact that the people on here are young, might be in a hurry, and are even possibly immigrants. These all might be possible answers, but most of you don't seem to realize what kind of community of people Yahoo! is made up of. Here is a list of countries where Yahoo is available http://world.yahoo.com/ As you can see, there are a lot of Asian and European countries. They can all ask questions on here also.
I myself have been in contact with a guy I met on here who was studying for his G.R.E. somewhere in Malaysia, and I was helping him out with entymology. True, many of us who actually answer the questions are educated in the area; I for instance am an English teacher. I know there are also a number of other English teachers/Professors whom give answers in the Wordplay section.
So the next time you wonder why someone has bad grammar, or punctuation or anything; think that maybe they don't even live in this country, let alone speak our language as a native tongue. They're usually really trying to learn, so let them.

I think they get in a hurry. Your right though ! Some of this stuff is hard to make sense of. I dont let it bother me if I know what there talking about. Getting the point across is all I care about.
I dont understand this. Why are some people quick to belittle others for misspelling a word or two? I have seen people be called moron, stupid, and idiot just for misspelling a word. Why dont they get a life or find something new to pi $$ and moan about.

I suspect that a great many people have not been taught proper grammer. I think it's actually rather easy to acquire proper grammer even if the subject was not taught to oneself. Simply read many books and the grammer skills will be absorbed. I agree that proper grammer makes a question much more readable.

haha...if you have problem with this, ask yahoo to add forcively spell and grammer checker in yahoo answers also.
I hope, yahoo will rethink for your problem.
Beside this, english is really poor for most of the people in the world, as they have thier own languages. Furthermore, everybody may not be more talented like you. What do u think?

that is a very good question, since this country is the country of immigrants, they most of the time don't speak English, which I think you understand, and it is also a pity that government doesn't wast to spend money on the education or schools for the new immigrants to be able to speak better, it is not possible to find a free English schools in this country , or if you find them they are very expensive

I hear ya on that. Those who use poor grammar make it truely tough to know what they are asking in the first place.

You're surprised? These are, after all, the people getting other people to do their homework for them--well not ALL of them--there are some legitimately good questions here, but they also tend to have better grammar.
"I mean, come on! how can i take the time to get it rite wen my bbf is waiting for me to IM with him sum more. Geez..."

there are no 'grammar police' around to caught the 'grammar offender'.
well, most people type very fast without bother to check the spelling although there's 'Check Spelling' icon provided.
