she also is 42

You didn't say how old your mom is but I've noticed the older my mother gets, the more her hands shake.
Perhaps you should suggest to your mother to see a doctor and be checked for problems.
I know it must be scary. It could be something as simple as carpal tunnel syndrome which may cause weakness in her hands.
Good luck.

I wouldn't call him Mister either. I don't think it's a power trip thing. I think he's thinking it more as a respect for your elders thing. I would take him aside and tell him when he started shanking your mom he became Matt and not Mister anything. There is no reason for such formality when he's dating your mom. The relationship between you two should be more informal and not so up-tight. And as for the girl that calls her dad by his first name. If I were her dad, or her mom for that matter, I'd slap the sh*t out of her! Thats sooooo disrepectful and that's was wrong with kids today.

Does is happen all the time? She should go and see a doctor to make sure it's not neurological. It if happens only at certain times it could be low blood sugar. Go to webmd.com to look for more info-they have a 'symptoms checker' that might be helpful.

It could be serious, like parkinsons disease... which will slowly get worse (like Michael J Fox) but it could also be just her getting older. Not knowing how old she is makes it harder. You can call a nurse on the hospital hotline deal and ask her some questions, any time of day.

It might be a symptom of Parkinson's Disease, but don't worry because not all of these cases are of that disease. I feel sorry for you and your mom and I hope that your mom will be feeling better soon.

high blood pressure can cause shaky hands.
my grandpa has that so his hands are always shaky when holding something.
try to convince ur mom to exercise more so that she can have a healthy heart, and drink 1 cup of red wine everyday.
hope it'll help. :)

It's probably nerve damage due to all the chemicals she has used in hairstyling. Have her see a neurologist.

usually a good night sleep and a glass of milk will work, if not, please go see doctor

I think you should ask your mom first, tell her you are worried, it could be early parkinsons disease, but before you get to worried ask her.
