a lot of people laugh when there scared and nervous...you have to train yourself how to be disappointed...sort of like a poker face...stand in front of a mirror and practice the face of disappointment..

It's not that important to know why you laugh. It's usually a lack of self confidence.
It sounds like you want to know how to stop laughing inappropriately. Now that you you are aware that is a problem for you, you will be far more conscious of it. Concentrate on and premeditate (practice in your mind) a different reaction that would be more appropriate. Watch how others react to your same stressor and see how they handle it. Don't worry, it usually goes away with maturity.

Nervousness causes lots of reflexes. It can be a number of things.
Read up on how to speak to people and how to say the right things at the right time. That should help, confidence in yourself and pushing fear aside when you speak should help. Take a drama class or theater...that will get you going in a hurry...
Good luck, I know this must be terrible for you...but you will find the right way to stop it and prevail over this.

There must be a level of awkwardness or a bit of guilt radiating on your part. Your unsure of the outcome of a situation or place, so by nervous laugh, it helps to offer you and who ever else is with you a sense of calmness and maybe even take the light off you, when your feeling, lost.

well....uh person McPerson-pants. The main reason this is happing is because...at the time your tryin to be serious....and all thats running thru your head is "dont laugh....be serious...god why am i like talking to myself....well this really wouldnt be considered talking, it would be thinking......to myself AHHHHH back on subject...DONT LAUGH DONT DO IT...YOUR DOIN IT WHY???? OHHHH NOOOOO!" then you laugh and to everyone who is watching thinks of you as an "insnsitive jerk" and your life is ruined. The way to stop this problem is to....to...uh...well.....uh....put the jigger in the light bulb and ride a donkey! AHHHH all the way home....ah...yes...home....

Be aware of it, and try to have some kind of strategy (idea) about how you want to act when you realize that you are doing it.
It is awesome you are aware of it and care enough to want to correct it.

I laugh when i'm scared. I think it's because i don't know how to express myself properly.

It's just a reflex. Sometimes you can't help it.
