It is remarkable that Bush believes he can ignore a law, and protect himself, through a signing statement. Despite the McCain Amendment's clear anti-torture stance, the military may feel free to use torture anyway, based on the President's attempt to use a signing statement to wholly undercut the bill.

No I don't approve of torture, and GWB is guilty of war crimes for approving of it.

If you approve of marriage or employment or standing in line for a cone of ice cream, for some people these are all torture.

There are many devices that can be used to drive a person to beg for mercy, and none of these draw blood or create physical pain.

If you need vital information for the defense of your nation ( or your household ), should it be wrong to use these methods to extract the information from a person who wants to kill you and your family?

Bear in mind, the forces we may be fighting in the next war will be people who will not hesitate a second to torture and ravage you and your family members.

For you to observe a moral code when you fight them is idiotic.

I guess it all depends on your definition of torture. This nonsense isn't about putting the juice to someone's nads, it's about keeping them awake until they tell us what the terrorists' plans are.

You damned liberals just love to stick up for the terrorists. It will be ironic when the islamofacists detonate a nuke in a democrat voting city (all large cities favor democrats, do some research) because you wussies don't want to keep them awake for 36 hours straight.

I'm for it. Anything to protect the home front. You Bush bashers will be playing PC word games when Al Quaida drops a dirty bomb on your kid's school.

You think you are acting like some make believe super hero with your name, the truth is you are just a misguided liberal computer nerd.
