One good thing to do is to get rid of all spyware, adware, and the likes from your computer. Next is to make sure that your computer at least meets the minimum requirements of the game. Then make sure your video card drivers are up to date, and if you play games on the computer, using an integrated graphics card is highly not recommended. Also check the games website to see if there are any patches that may fix crashes caused by the games programming.
