Good question! For some unexplainable reason most liberals are horrified of the very thought of execution by lethal injection of even the most heinous criminal meanwhile are behind the idea of a woman's right to choose and it's her body trumps any and all rights of that of a developing (innocent) fetus.

Predatory Criminals/Capital Murder Cases pose an ongoing threat to your personal rights, property and your life. To some, unborn fetuses are simply an inconvenience....I guess in the end, it's all about power, isn't it?

Both liberals & conservatives want to make tha abortian issue much simpler than it is. The liberals want to believe a fetus isn't a human until it's born. The conservatives want to say its a baby at conception. The arguments on both side are frequently emotional and not thought out.

"Choose life; your mother did." The same logic can be applied to not using birth control.

"The baby you want to abort could be the next Albert Einstein or Martin Luther King" or maybe the next Hitler.

"It's not fair to bring an unwanted baby into the world."
Haven't you heard of how many people are on a long list for adopting a child? This goes for all races now days. This argument only applies to handicapped kids. Then I wonder, couldn't you apply the same logic to the children after they're born? What is the scientific difference between a late-term fetus and a new-born baby?

"My Body - My Choice" But the fact of the matter is (at least at some stage of the development) there is another human life IN your body. And in the vast majority of the cases, the woman had a choice before getting pregnant! Birth Control!

You may religiously believe life begins at conception, but you can't legislate by religion.

And just because it isn't fair for a woman to have to have a baby she didn't want just because she waited to long into the pregnancy to make the decision, does that mean it's fair to kill the baby?

The question, is it a lump of tissue or a human life!

So what I'd like to see is SCIENTIFIC DATA to determine when life begins.

WHEN DOES LIFE BEGIN!

Before life begins -
It is OBVIOUSLY a woman's right to have an abortion.

After life begins -
It is OBVIOUSLY killing a human to have an abortion.

Not that makes things simple, but that should be the basis of the argument.

if u look at my prior yahoo answers history, u will know when i say that im not liberal, however, im pro-choice, but, i believe in capital punishment

listen pro-lifers: u cant take away the constitutional right women have to make their own decision, im not saying women should go around having abortions, but what if she was raped and then became pregnant, or in a different situation, the child would grow up w/ no opportunities, a horrible education, or starve to death because he/she would be soo poor i also dont think abortions should take place after the first trimester

Uhhh...by killing babies, I assume you think there's a troop of liberals running around in nurseries and maternity wards smothering babies? And by killing criminals I assume you support lynch mobs killing people on the spot - even without a trial?

If you think I'm being silly, you should take a look at your own question. Beliefs aren't that simple - unless the person believing those things is simple.

What an idiotic question.

There are MANY Republicans who are pro-choice! Do your *&% homework...

The head of the Democratic Party is an anti-choice Mormon (Harry Reid) and there are countless Democrats serving who also share his views.

By the same token, there are also countless Republicans who are "pro-choice".

There are Republicans who are also against the death penalty, and Democrats who are for it..

You are of the narrow mind that all members of all political parties mindlessly think alike.

What you are doing is C-A-T-A-G-O-R-I-Z-I-N-G people.

I agree, so many pro-life people support saving unborn children but have no problems with supporting the killing of children in other countries.

How come conservatives are pro-life but are pro-war and don't care about the number of people dying because of their lies and greed.

Liberals are so out of touch with NORMAL that they can't see how wrong it is to take an innocent life and fight for a killer/rapist to live.
They are too "fringe" and "not right" ...(wrong AND too left)

Democrats are the party of death for the innocents. They love to protect and mollycoddle criminals and terrorists, it's just their nature and nobody really knows why.

Liberals don't think it's ok to kill babies. You have to be born first to be a baby.
