MOST OF THE TIME WHEN GIRLS R MENSTRUATING THEY CAN GET PREGNANT. UNLESS THERE IS A PROBLEM. BUT THERE IS ALWAYS A RISK.

The simple answer is, no.
The wise answer is, maybe.

But the truth depends on many different factors.
1) 15% of couples are not able to conceive after one year of unprotected intercourse. Approximately half of those will still not be pregnant after two years. After that, the monthly pregnancy rate is approximately 2%. The longer the duration of infertility, the less likely you are to get pregnant.
2) The older you are, the harder it is to get pregnant. If you are 40, the pregnancy rate is about 10% per month. By age 45, the pregnancy rate is much less than 1% per month.
3) Not all periods indicate that you are ovulating. However, regular predictable menses generally indicate that you are ovulating.
4) Multiple other factors affect fertility, including if your fallopian tubes are open, if your male partner has adequate sperm, whether you have chronic pelvic conditions such as endometriosis.

If you want these questions addressed or answered you should seek the advice of your Ob/Gyn. If you are 35 or older, or have been more than 1 year without contraception, then you should probably find a Reproductive Endocrinologist (Infertility Specialist).

Just because you have a regular cycle doesn't mean you can have a baby.

I was pregnant with my second child and developed complications and lost the baby and almost my life. I had been very physically active that month, participating in sports events (just for fun) and experienced a cycle after the fact.

Everything was normal, or so I thought. Have you ever heard of an ectopic pregnancy? Well I was almost three months pregnant and had no idea, because I was still having my regular cycles.

Instead of travelling to the womb to develop, the embryo stayed in my fallopian tubes and started developing there. It ruptured and I had to have emergency surgery after almost 48 hrs of internal bleeding. Since I have such a high tolerance for pain, I thought it was just really bad gas trapped in my body so I still went to work.

Anyway, long story short -- I lost the baby, my left fallopian tube and have not conceived since. I still have regular cycles, but I will need to see a specialist in order for me to conceive now. Thank God I already had a child and still have my life so I get to watch her grow up.

Hope I helped. Remember to take care of you.

Yes all women that have periods can get pregnant, your period is the lining of your uterus that sheads every month if sperm don't make it to the egg to fertilize it .
