It is not a good idea to have one party in control of anything in government, it leaves no voice to the Loyal Opposition.

It depends on what you want to happen.

In general, if the executive and legislative branches are on the same track, more bills get put into law, so the government is more productive.

However, if you disagree with those bills, then that's a bad thing for you.

No. More can get done as far as one party's agenda goes, but you need the balance. Even when my party is in control there are drawbacks that I can see. The drawbacks just seem alot bigger if it isn't your party in control.

No! The Dems are tax-and-spend liberals. The Reps are tax-and-spend conservatives. Having the power split between the two leads to a fiscally conservative apoplexy.
