It was great theatre, and I'm happy that Agassi moved on, although Baghdatis is quickly becoming a favorite. How many twists and turns (literally?) can one match feature?
Some impressions that I took:
Baghdatis did not seem to really show up till the 3rd set. By that, I mean that he looked like he was reluctant to really put it to AA in the first 2 sets...Perhaps, he was overly deferential to a player that he respected so much, or intimidated somewhat by the crowd or the occasion?
Amazingly, it was Baghdatis, and not Agassi, who had the visible physical problems out there.
The 3rd-5th sets (well most of the 5th) featured some very crisp play by both -- not quite as great as the Nadal-Baghdatis semi at Wimbledon this year (loved that match), but close.
Baghdatis showed a ton of graciousness after the match -- congratulatory hugs at the net, and his comments right after he just split his gut out there --classy kid!
Hopefully, Agassi can recover and keep riding this NY wave.

Baghdatis had a lot of heart, and it was a great match. I thought that he would win in 4 sets, but hey, whatever it takes.
Baghdatis has a great serve, huh?

Upmost respect to Baghdatis for finishing that 4-4 match and continuing. upmost.
Kudos to Agassi, whether he wins or not, he will always be a winner in my mind.

well at the beginning i was very nervouse but after i agassi won the first 2 sets i cool down but as soon as i saw the amazing talented marcos was giving poor agassi i was 100 percent that he was going to win but when agasii won i was so happy

It was a brilliant match. Andre Agassi sure wont retire quietly. He rocks. He played great today. One would not even think that he is 36. Brilliant. That's all i can say
p.s.- He is meeting a guy called Benjamin becker(not related to boris becker) who upset Grosjean. AGASSI SURE WILL WIN THAT MATCH.
