I have a laptop( ACER P4) . Battery of this computer is not getting charge and also indicator of battery charge is not working.

Acer laptops often die because they cannot get power. On most Acer motherboards, the weakest point is the DC inlet. Take a flashlight and look inside of where you plug in your Acer to the AC power cable. Check for any cracks. If you see one, then your laptop's motherboard will need to be replaced. Solder repairs on DC inlets require exteme skill with the iron and are very risky.

If you system is under warranty, visit http://secure.tx.acer.com/fixmyacer2/fixmyacer.aspx and place a repair order. That is the ultimate solution. If you are unsure of your warranty, Acer can inform you of it's status at the above website when you enter your computer's serial number.

Good luck, I hope it is not the motherboard, as replacing that will cost you as much as a new Acer.

2 problems...its either your battery is faulty
or its your charger

or it can be also that the charging point is not secure or is lose...so get it checked

battery is bad - replace it.
