I can't stand him!
Gives psych such a bad name...set the field back another 100 yrs..
In one of my psych classes, we were told that he has a Psy D, not a Phd...and it's in life skills...whatever!!!!!!!
A Psy D is for people who want to be therapists but who don't want to do any research (as a real psychology graduate program will make you do research!!!)...so what they do is...they teach you how to be a critical research consummer...meaning you are able to read a scientific journal article and understand the gist of it...big DEAL..and most of these psy d degrees are not taken seriously or recognized by the APA...and let's not forget they're 100% privately funded, so just the fact that you're paying about 30 k a year gets you that piece of paper!!!
Argh, he makes me cringe!!!
And how can anyone believe that this man can make a psychological assessment in less that one hour...oh sorry make that a few hours, since he talks to them back stage or something and follows up... It takes a VERY LONG TIME to help people with their problems...
Where's Dr. Laura, so we could introduce her to her successor???!!!!

He's not a doctor. He's the guy who helps choose the jurors for a court case, that's how Oprah met him. She hired him because she was being sued and she need a juror *expert*. He helped her. She brought him on the show. Then the station offered him his own show. I can't stand his condescending tone.

Oh I agree he seems to act like he is a doctor on all aspects. I love to listen to Dr. Drew he is an expert and does not act like an idiot.

TODAY I WATCHED THE SHOW ABOUT A WOMAN WHO LEFT HER CHILDREN IN HER CAR TO GO ON A JOB INTERVIEW. SHE AND HER CHILDREN WERE HOMELESS. THE TEMP. THAT DAY WAS 74 DEGREES. SHE WAS TRYING TO HELP HERSELF WITHOUT THE AID OF ANYONE WHO CARED, ESPECIALLY THE PERSON ("GOOD SAMARITAN"), WHO TURNED HER IN. SHE HAD TO CHANGE HER PLEA TO GUILTY (AFTER SHE HAD BEEN FOUND NOT GUILTY) IN ORDER TO GET THE MONEY SOMEONE HAD RAISED FOR HER. THAT WAS ALL ARRANGED BY HER PUBLIC PRETENDER. IT WAS HER MONEY TO DO WHAT SHE WANTED TO DO WITH IT. SO MAYBE SUDO DR. PHIL SHOULD HAVE TO LIVE IN A CAR WITHOUT ANY MONEY WITH SMALL CHILDREN OR MAYBE HE SHOULD JUST BE BANNED FROM TELEVISION

I couldn't agree more with you. My mom watches his show almost religiously. Its sick. when I see him i get the urge to throw something at him. He tries to act like he knows everything and has experienced everything in life. In reality hes just an ugly man who gives bad advice. AND people actually watch his show... pathetic... how much do they pay the people to clap when he says something?
