I really think Makayla is a pretty name. I first heard the name from a girl I met from Germany about 25 years ago. Her name was Michaela. It doesn't really matter how it's spelled, it is a pretty name. The only thing that turns me off is that I have a friend that named her sharpei, Michaela.
