A bully scratches in a profanity word on someone else's locker, and the owner of that locker sees it, wanting to paint over it so one could see it. However, he can't without getting permission from the principle, and he says no u can't. If the owner of the locker takes things into his own hands n paints the locker anyway, would it be considered vandalism against school property??? Just curious!!

Yes, but why didn't the school principal consider the bully's scratching vandalism also?

Yes, that would be vandalism, but are they going to be able to prove who painted it? What kind of principal is this that he thinks things like that should be left in his school?

Yes, it would be. The followup question is, would YOU consider it a greater evil to let the word remain, or to paint it over and take the consequences for doing so...

You should've painted over it without saying anything to your principle;if they can't figure out who did it,you can't get into trouble.

Pretty much. Vandalism is basically altering someone else's property without permission. You robabaly wouldn't go to jail for it though. I don't see a police officer clapping cuffs on you anyway. Dunno-- kinda iffy.
