Mine did. I screwed up everything I could have and they are both wonderful adults with wonderful families in spite of me. For that I am grateful.

I wasn't the greatest mom in the world. I had to work because their dad wouldn't work enough to support us and I hated him (really), but stayed married to him for 17 years 'for the kids', which was worse than anything. They are both grown and are wonderful, productive children. I have a granddaughter and one (don't know if boy or girl) on the way. Things have a way of turning out in spite of us.

No. My oldest daughter 25, is in prison for drug charges. There for the Grace of God go I. I am trying to redeem myself with my 15 yr old son. I try to make up for my failures with my daughter. yes, God deserves the credit everytime. He was doing for them what they could not do for themselves. He protected them, while you were busy screwing up. God also saw fit that you came to. I came to alittle too late for my daughter, but I have a God of second chances, I pray my son would turn out ok. I once heard that children are books to be read, not written. God Bless

thats horrible...you give their self-resiliance, self-control, and motivation... all to god? What a horrible thing...if you screwed everything up, at least credit them for making it on their own.
