YES THEY CAN!!!

For the other women like me who did not know women could be circumcised and ofcourse the asker too. I got this off the internet.

During the operation, all or part of the clitoris and the labia are removed. Proponents of female circumcision claim it makes virginity at marriage and marital fidelity more likely. Opponents condemn it as dangerous and painful.

Female circumcision does not reduce sexual activity

Circumcised women experience sexual arousal and orgasm as frequently as uncircumcised women.

The researchers also found no difference in the frequency of intercourse or age of first sexual experience between the two groups of women. These findings remove key arguments used to defend the practice, they say.

Wow! Even the people raging about the ignorance of the others are WAY off.

FEMALE CIRCUMCISION must not be confused with female genital mutilation. Circumcision means only cutting away or splitting the clitoral hood, with no intent to harm the clitoris. There is only one legitimate medical indication for this procedure, and that is an adult case of BXO/LS that hasn't responded to other treatments. Since BXO/LS makes the hood skin harden and scratch at the clitoris, removing the hood provides relief if medications won't.

There is no indication for this procedure in a little girl, so your question should refer to genital mutilation, not circumcision.

While the old ancient practice of female circumcision still goes on in parts of Asia and Africa it is banned in Western countries. and for those who don't know what it is, it is when you clitoris is cut out and you are sewn up so tight sex is pain full. While a clitoral orgasm would be impossible I do not see why a G spot orgasm wouldn't be possible.

I have a friend who is from Senegal, and his ex-wife was "circumcised". He told me that she could enjoy sex, but it took more time and work from his part to get her to have an orgasm. Obviously, she could not have an orgasm from clitoral stimulation, because of the lack of that body part.

For all the ignorant people answering this question, yes women can be circumcized but it is illegal in the states and is usually only practiced in certain tribes in Africa and other groups that put emphasis on women not having pleasure during sex, and no that is women are circumcized, to prevent pleasure.

A lot of people who don't know what they are talking about answered this. Yes, women can and do get circumsized. Hello! Usually in the arab countries. It's to keep them from enjoying sex so that they won't 'stray' from the marriages. Horrible, inhumane practice.

No, the entire purpose behind circumcising them is to ensure they will not enjoy sex on the premise that if they don't discover it is enjoyable it is less likely they will stray. Stupid but less hardware required than a chastity belt.

Yes they can. Men want their wives circumcised so they can be the one to satisfy them and not the women herself.
