There is a difference between leading the pack, and ascending by themselves. Extremely successful people have a combination of experience, motivation and opportunity that allows them to continue growing - which can result in great financial gains.

It is one of the myths of capitalism that there are equal opportunities for everyone to become rich. Its just not the case.

brains, a lot of luck, and picking something that can grow exponentially without forcing the owner to work exponentially more
