I would like to know the interpretation for the degeneracy of a particle in a 3-dimensional cube?

Degenerate states usually refer to different quantum states with the same energy level. So, a particle could be in several different statest, but some of those states are "degenerate", in that they possess the same energy. There are other meanings however.
