I believe the issue should be what makes the couple happy not race. I have traveled the world and lived in various countries for the past forty years and I have found that the majority of people around the world are interested in the same thing security, peace and happiness. But, I think it is foolish for mixed race couples to enter into a relationship thinking they will not encounter special problems. Cultural differences can create problems if you both do not strive to respect and be tolerant of those differences. I have seen many good mixed race relationships destroyed by friends and families so your commitment to each other has to be especially strong. It is easy to say, "I am marrying him/her not his/her family", but the reality is quite different.

They're great! Race does not matter, it's the person that matters and if you are happy together! So far, all the answers have been great! I wish more people thought this way!

I'm engaged to someone of a different race.
As long as you like them, it shouldn't matter what race they are,
Because you like them for who they are.

And why the hell not? I have a strong preference for Asian women. There's no reason at all to object to mixed relationships.

Yes. They can be rewarding as long as you realize he is just flesh, blood, and bone just like you. I had this crush on this guy in HS (it was a oneside crush) and we had a blast. The highlight of our relationship was when he stood up for me, and showed compassion to me when when others were teasing me.

Yes..Being multi-racial myself, I find matters of the heart takes ruling over all. If someone is gentle, kind, and understanding, and have mutual feelings towards you...I see no harm. We all bleed red!! "2006 people! "
