Well, maybe you should break your project up into the three different trimesters. Women go through mental and physical changes during and after pregnancy. Here are some key points:
During the first trimester you go through the "morning sickness," the changes in your breast size, the changes in your weight and belly size, and the changes in your mood. At this time, you can't determine the sex of the baby.
During the second trimester you go through the "morning sickness" is gone and you are now going to experience fetal movements, the baby is kicking. You also may see changes in your belly button, and you can finally determine the sex of the baby. Some women may also experience Braxton Hicks contractions, which are harmless, BUT CAN be painful.
During the third trimester, there is more of a mental change in the woman. She's becoming irritable and can't wait for delivery. A lot of women also experience back pains, because of the estrogen that softens there hips (which helps w/ labor). This is the time just before the woman gives birth.
Those are just some examples... I hope I helped a little! Good luck!

in the first pregnancy the baby drops around the 38 th week. That means the baby moves into the pelvic area ready for the birth. I don't know why but the next ones don't maybe they already know the way LOL. also very early some women want to clean clean clean. And then that settles until near the end when the real what is knowing a nesting and yes more cleaning cleaning cleaning. I have had 5 baby's and very lucky I never got morning sickness or any of the bad things that go with it. either. I hope this is some help to you.

I would make up a size chart. Start with a human egg is about the size of a pencil dot, then go to a few weeks later, when it's a bit bigger, then move up every 2 weeks or go by months to illustrate how babies grow. A good book to check out would be "What to Expect When You're Expecting." Your local library should have a copy. There is TONS of information in that book about pregnancy and pregnancy symptoms, ailments, etc etc. If you want the project to be kid oriented, check out "It's So Amazing" by Robie H. Harris. It's a great book written for kids about sex, pregnancy, and how genetics work. I've read it to my kids since I wanted to help include them in this pregnancy. Now they have a better understanding of where babies really do come from. Hope that helps!! =)

Nausea, vomitting, hard to put on shoes, insomnia, getting in a comfortable position to sleep. The movement of the baby, the joy of feeling it move around in your tummy. Heartburn. Long waits at doctor visits in uncomfortable chairs when you're big as a house pregnant. (I still think women over 7mo along should be called back ahead of women who are just a few months along if they don't want to provide more comfortable chairs.)
The humiliating exams by the doctor. The joy of ultrasounds & getting to see the little thing that has been kicking you so hard......
There's so much I can't list it all.

Yeah, you should interview someone who is going through pregnancy or already has recently been pregnant. Also interview a doctor (I don't know how big your project is though, sounds like a load of work) that can talk to you about pregnancy. Be sensitive to people's feelings and always present yourself very well. Have fun!!!

Know first and foremost....Every pregnancy is different. You could focus on the reasons and outcomes of premature birth. I'd direct you to the March of Dimes Website (www.marchofdimes.org) if you decide on this topic.
