Okay. Homosexuality is not a mental disorder or environmentally determinable. It is genetic. People are born gay....

But what about bi-sexuals?

Why do you think bisexuality has to be defined under a psych defect or health condition? Bisexuals are born with their sexual identity as intact as straights or gays.

If sexual orientation is biological, then its the same biology which determines whether someone is gay, bi or straight. There is no singular gene which has a switch that can be flicked two ways - one for gay and two for straight. It might be caused by a concentration of a particular chemistry in the body. Psychology probably plays its part also, and helps to spread out sexuality on its vast scale, as well as driving change in some people's sexual orientation - some bisexuals do experience variations in their orientation throughout their lifetimes.

The only rational, observable, explanation I know is that sexual orientation runs on a continuum -- totally straight to totally gay with some variation of bi for everything in between. Although it would be consistent with just about every other human characteristic, and it'd explain the apparent need for all the preaching and teaching the "wrongness" of homosexuality, common sense just doesn't seem to apply on this topic.

I can tell you this first: some believe that bisexuality is actually the default sexual orientation and that homosexuality and heterosexuality are learned.

In the end, ALL sexual orientations are probably the end result of
biology + social forces. It's the interaction of these two kinds of forces that gives us homosexuality, heterosexuality, and even bisexuality. It might be that in a bisexual's social world, attraction to both sexes (very natural) was reinforced or attraction to one sex over the other was not reinforced.

A choice? Probably not, even with the interaction aspect of all of this. The biological forces are exceptionally strong, and the social forces are so subtle that I doubt the developing child or adolescent even notices them.

The same principle goes for all who love differently. Bi people just happen to be attracted to both sexes. They could fall in love with either a boy or a girl. No big deal. I think it's pretty awesome that a guy could love a guy the same way he could love a girl.

What's up with you people?

"How can you say that a person is born gay when the whole gay community keep saying it's a choice?"

You can't choose to be gay if you've already been predestined to be gay as you claim to be.

The gay people claim it's a choice so how can a choice be considered genetic predestination? Does that mean you were predestined to choose to be gay?

That's a load of 8ULL5H1T!!!!!

As for the bi's. They're just as psychologically challenged as the gay and lesbian community.

Bottomline facts:

XX chromosomes = female
That means breasts, vaginas, cervixes, ovaries, child-bearing abilities.

XY chromosomes = male
That means facial hair, penises, testicles, sperm.

Homosexual men can't reproduce if a man's penis is entering another man's anus.

Lesbians can't reporduce by using a dual-tipped vibrator or licking each others' vaginas until they are blue in the face.

Lesbians, gays and bi's have to go to the adoption agency, or the sperm bank or get serviced by a man (at least with lesbians and bi-sexual women who want to have a baby)

Now if the gay, lesbian and bi communities refuse a reality check and continue to justify their lifestyle...?

Hey, you can all knock yourselves out.

Bisexuality is the truest form of human sexuality. Love the person, the body is just a second thought, what does it matter what equipment it has?

I've asked that same question before. I'm bisexual & I can't help it. I know for a fact that I was born this way.
