I have been taking it for a long time. I take it for anxiety attacks , anxiety. When I first starting taking them they told me to take 4 daily . I could sleep standing up, so I starting taking 1/4 of a pill during the day and a whole at night. I take the 1mg which is blue. They are pretty strong. But they do help. As my anxiety decreased I have just been taking 1 at night. If they are to strong you should talk to your Dr. and get his advice . Sorry to hear about your losses.

I'm soooo sorry to hear of your loss.
I take xanix, I think it is the same meds. I had 4 heart attacks this year and started on dialysis and loss my great job from all of it. Doctor put me on it about 2 months ago. I feel so much more in control of my life and can think better too, but it took afew weeks for it to really work, I think the first faze of it is to help you sleep and get comfie, sounds like you could use some of that.
I won't tell you YES you need it, but only that after a few weeks I saw a great different in my whole entire life.
PS take it when you get home from work it will wear some by the time you go to work the next day. But be careful when driving or having to make mental task.
Good Luck & God bless

First off, I want to say I'm sorry for your loss. I had never taken any kind of pill for depession or anxiety until someone close to me died. I have taken antidepressants, though I am not a big fan of anxiety pills. For effectiveness, you must stay on whatever your doctor prescribes for as long as he prescribes it. DO NOT SKIP days. The medicine has to build up in your blood, this will take a few weeks at least. Try taking medicine only at night if it makes you drowsy (I had to). If you have undesirable side effects, ask your doctor about anti-depressants, instead. They worked for me. Instead of leaning on medication only, try counseling along with drugs, this is more efficient in the long run.

Xanax is an anti anxiety/depression medication. I'm not on it, but I've heard of it. I think they prescribed it to you because of the anxiety you describe, but what you should also do is go to a counseling program in your area for grief counseling. I think talking more about the loss of your dad and uncle would help release some of the anxiety you have instead of just drinking pills all the time. But you should also talk to your doctor and ask them for an alternative due to the side effects you have.

i am truly sorry to hear of your father and uncle passing so soon! your problem is a mental one, zanix can be addictive, plus it alters ones mind as if intoxicated, if you get you mind in order there is no need to take zanix! try to remember they are still alive there just not here anymore, keep a positive mind and allways think on good things, and keep yourself happy! surround yourself with good friends who know you and are willing to help you get over hard times. sweetie remember it could have been worse! and for some it is. just know somethings we must endure to save others. be strong, stay happy. keep a smile on your face and stay away from negativity. i would say good luck but there is none needed. your outcome depends on the how much you want to be free from stress! cause in the long run stress will kill you!
