Hard to pinpoint some allergies -- it could be something in the environment, rather than your milk. Just a thought, but do you wear any fragrances? Perfumed deodorant? Face creams? Sometimes these can trigger allergic reactions.
Meanwhile, keep on your doctor to get that specialist reference pronto. A three-month old doesn't have a lot of reserves, and at this point in her life should be gaining weight and growing faster than at any other time in her life. So she doesn't need to be dragged down by whatever is causing this problem.
Hope you find a solution soon.
Good luck to you.

Find the nearest teaching hospital, and take your baby there. They will have the latest in equipment, and be able to test for everything. Why this doctor let it go on this long is beyond me. Over three weeks? Ridiculous. It still could be an allergy to the milk, laundry soap, disposable diapers, etc, etc, etc. It could be a virus of some type, or a low grade infection. Get her checked immediately.

You already asked this question. And if your doctor is sending her to a specialist, what makes you think that we're going to know what is wrong with her? A fever of 101 isn't that high for a baby. Maybe you're keeping the house too warm, maybe you have too many clothes on her, or maybe her temp just runs higher than most people's. A very small portion of the population has an exact temp of 98.6 degrees. I myself run anywhere between 1 and 2 degrees cooler than that. My boys run at about 99.8 degrees. I'm sorry, but you're not going to find definitive answers here. You're unfortunately going to have to wait until you see the specialist.

When you say diarrhea, how watery is it? My doc never seems to toubled by diarrhea unless it's completely liquid for over a week or has blood in the stool. Breastfed babies' stools are softer than formula fed b/c they digest it better. I don't think there's much anyone here can say that's going to be helpful. Keep up with the docs, and keep your baby as comfortable as possible. The bottom rash may be a completely separate symptom, too.

That baby needs a second opinion ASAP. I wouldn't have lasted more than 3 days with my girl having a fever that wouldn't go away. I would take her to whatever Drs it took for until they fixed the problem.

remember that a fever 101 and below is teething... teething can cause diarreha and some rashes on cheeks... however if it is over 101 it is an infection.... and something needs to be treated... keep that in mind.. and also it depends on what your taking her temp with... remember to add a degree when doing underarm... sometimes shots can cause fevers.. has she had her 3 month ones ?

I think I would definitely get a second opinion!! A fever like that can cause long term problems even if everything seems fine right now!

PLEASE take your baby to another doctor and don't stop until you find one who helps her. Temperatures that high can cause permanent brain damage. Go to another city if you have to, a children's hospital, a pediatric specialist, anything. I personally know several children with brain damage due to doctors being wrong , please keep going. And have you tried using formula? I know breastfeeding is best, I am currently nursing my 5 month old daughter, but I know an adult male who was very allergic to his mother's milk, It can happen.
