Hi good morning; I think for myself,the best way is,take a phone book and call in a moving company or in a transportation company. For the second question,the company need to know any information about ,what do you want to transport because the D.O.T. (department of transport)of the USA,need to know about everything ,I mean ,do you transport some drugs ,some weapon,and if its a stolen car.Its why the company where you are going to ask for transport,need this kind of information for his protection.Because the company can hit a very big violation ticket if he did not respect the law .Also when you cross the border line to enter in Canada,you have to declare what you bring inside the country,and the officer at the custom,are going to ask you if you have legal paper for the car you want to bring inside the country. If you are an honest man, with your legal paper you are not supposed have any problem at the border. I really hope ,you are going to find some good company to transport your car.

Just drive the 401 straight through.. nice trip, great people along the way and the food is great tasting..gas may be out of this world as far as the price goes but look at the fun you will have or miss. It all depends on you.
