You should take a lot of basic courses in the first two or three years of college to help you figure out what you like and want to do--art, psychology, chemestry, English, other languages, history, composition, math, biology, the list is endless. There are a lot of options out there, and there is no need to make a rushed decision. As you are only 15 now, you will probably change your mind a few times as to what you want, and the quickest way to figure it out is to do a little of everything.

25k really isn't a lot of money, and anything that you go to school for (assuming you graduate and get a job in that field) will let you earn at least that much. Don't make the mistake of going into a career for the money. I know that money seems like a big issue right now, but if you end up in a job that you hate because it has a high salary, you will end up unhappy.

Let money be a great bonus for doing what you love, rather than letting money be the reward (and reason) for doing something that you aren't so thrilled with.

I would advise you to go to college. Here in California, you can make $60,000 or more your first year as an RN and this is with a 2 year associate's degree in nursing from a community college. You mentioned that you are interested in anything that pays $25K a year...would you consider being a garbage collector? You need to be realistic and set some attainable goals. I am sure I could make a lot of money being a lawyer or a doctor but those things do not interest me. You're young enough to chart your course so start planning it wisely.

By the way, someone right out of high school doesn't typically make $25K a year without some kind of skill. Another note, $25K isn't really a lot of money. Sounds great but get into a job where you can advance!

nursing! the entry level pay is about $20k, but you'll earn more and more every year you work. travel nursing is good too because the agency pays for a furnished apartment and utilities, and comes with great benefits.

LOL! You need skills and experience to make that kind of money; or you may need a college degree.
