I am biracial and I am mixed with sicilian. I have always considered myself not to be white. My grandmother was very dark and full blooded sicilian. I mean she was as dark as an native american or something. She did not consider herself white. I just wanted to know what you huys opinions are on sicilians racial definition. I know people who believe it is white and some whom believe it is not white. Please give me your opinions.

I believe that they are not white. My sister-in-law's father is Sicilian and her mom Italian. We have talked about it before and her kids and grand kids have inherited the dark features and are beautiful! I really believe that we are all God's children and color doesn't make any diff except with sunburns.

Living in a family that has roots from Sicily, most Sicilians are a bit tanner than the Italians way up north. They have a darker color skin tone, probably because Sicily is, from what I hear, a bit sunnier than some cities.

Racially wise, it's still Italian. It's like you take a pale person from up north in the United States and send them down south to tan. They're still whatever culture or race they were. Just a bit tanner.

My Maiden name is Sansone (Sicilian) and I am only 1/2. Not all people from the Mediterranean are dark haired and dark eyed. It depends on who you talk to weather or not they think you're white. I have red hair, Blue eyes and freckles, while my brother has Brown hair, brown eyes and dark olive skin. In my opinion, I am white because my skin is so fair. I just say to those who ask that 1/2 my ancestors are from the Mediterranean.

I'm half white and half Sicilian, and I consider myself to be an American. But if you really wanna get technical, it all depends on where in Sicily you live? Some are dark, some are light, but they all gotta big nose! Answer: I consider them to be Sicilians. The shade of their skin doesn't matter.

Europeans, including Italians, are classified as being Caucasians. A more common term is white.

There are very few racial classifications, those being

Caucasian, Asian, *******, Hispanic, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you gots some white in you.

Forst of all there is nO such thing as races or skin color.

Every human has a pigment in their skin called melanin, every person has the SAME melanin... some produce MORE some less. If you are light skinned look at a mole, this is much melanin produced in a tiny area. melanin blocks harmful rays from the sun. There is only one race, the human race.

the Bible says thatr God made ALL men of ONE BLOOD! There are no races or colors

When you are of a mixed heritage, depending upon your appearance, you can be classified as Caucasian if light skinned, or if not "Mediterranean" if that classification is offered, but if not, check "Other".
