Well on days that it rains you could make some scrapbooks to give to special people they will be enjoyed many years after your friend has pasted. And wait to give them as special gifts after he has gone. Even write some letters about the future, the people left behind will love them and hold them dear. There are some fun things you could do.............Finger paint a wall, everyone wanted to do that as a child, so just do it. make a list of five things he wants to do and is able to do, that are outside the home and go for it. dance with him in the rain and if he can not leave the house turn on soft music and turn the shower on. A picnic of all his favorite foods. play what i would miss the most..... and on another day try and get as many of those things and share them with him. make him laugh and have a week of holidays, the ones you will miss , maybe Christmas, valentines, a wedding..... you get the idea take lots of pictures. I hope these help and love every minute you have together.

Just ask him/her about what kind of things they've always wanted to do. Do things that you two enjoy doing together. The point is, try to make them the happiest six months this person has...it should be something that you can both look back at in the coming months and say "wow i've never had that much fun". Good luck and I'm sorry to hear about your friend.

You can't tell how long a person is going to live. I have had brief daily talking exchange with two "terminal" patients—one is dead and one has survived colon cancer three surgerys and chemotherpay for fouryears. You have to have a sense of humor in the face of the grim reaper.

(((ideal))) truthfully? i wouldn't in any respect take every physique off existence-help. i individually does no longer prefer every physique to help me die, the two. For that count, even with the undeniable fact that, if i presumed somebody could be forced to stay in a vegetative state for an prolonged quantity of time, i does no longer placed them on existence help contained in the 1st place, and that i might surely prefer people who enjoyed me to enable me die (as adversarial to assisting me die) somewhat than having to undergo years of suffering. God bless! MM

I agree with Sylvia. And, hey, it's going to get rough for you too. Have someone that you can talk to as well.
