Superman is my big time favourite superhero! I really like Batman too. Batman and Superman are like two different individuals although they fight for the same cause.

Where Superman restricts himself so as not to destroy the world around him, Batman uses excessive physical force. I'm not complaining here. Batman is a mere mortal, one that has kicked the butts of many super villans, over and over again. Batman uses pure, raw intellect to defeat his opponents. That combined with his extensive knowledge of martial arts and close combat fighting techs, he is a dangerous foe. Even to Superman.

On one side Batman has to conceal his alter ego, Bruce Wayne. He only puts on the Batman suit to fight crime and injustice. On the other side you have Superman. Kal El, the last son of an extinct planet called Krypton. His entire life he uses the alter ego Clark Kent. That is his cover up identity. As Superman the man of steel, he is very much who he is.

To me Superman is the hero of all heroes. Like Zeus is the the Gods of Olympia (just a reference here, don't get upset people). His limitations being only magic and kryptonite (and the mental blocks he created to keep us safe from him). Batman has the limitations of a normal man. Although thats a good thing. For they both help each other when the time comes. For example; when dealing with Kryptonite, Batman gives Superman a helping hand like when he discovered Supergirl's spaceship in the docks, and Superman gives Batman a lending hand when it comes to tackling the big bad guys with superhuman traits, like Doomsday, Joker's mechs, etc...

It is hard to choose objectively between these two Superheroes. But I've always liked Superman personally. No offence DC and the Batman fans. I hold Batman in the highest esteem, up there with Superman (and Spiderman from the Marvel Universe!)

To close this article, again I point out that I prefer Superman.

I prefer Batman. That show was so campy! (I'm talking about the TV show in the, oh, 60's and/or early '70s.) He seemed more vulnerable and you really rooted for him to escape. The dialogue was interesting between him and Robin. The dialogue didn't seem as interesting with Superman. And Batman had all these devices and the Batmobile.

Superman acts the way we all should, giving, honest and brave, not to mention a high regard for human life, but, justice should be given the way batman gives it

I choose Superman because Batman is a big meanie. He is a bad man and he makes me cry.
