iam only 22 and my bf is 21 we've been together for 6 years and have 1 child I've often thought about settling down and so has he but we end up just letting it go what do you think?

Maybe either of you are really ready to settle down at this moment being that maybe one or both of you think that you may run into a better options when you finally decide to settle down with each other. but look at the big picture, Its been 6 yrs and you have a child together. Really the both of you have already settled down. You're just not married.

Gee, sorry but I just don't get people like you. You have been together with one guy for 6 years and even have a kid. Yet you think you have not settled down. Far as I can see you have, you just haven't signed on the dotted line with a marriage license. I guess you feel you are being some kind of rebel or something.

I think you are not ready to settle down. If you were ready you would not just let it go as you have. It would be on your mind all the time. You will know when the time comes. Your feelings will change and you will see things differently.

I think you are both either keeping your options open to future relationships with other people or you don't have a true appreciation for the value of lifetime family committment (i.e. marriage).
Having been together from such a young age may also be a factor.

those are signs that you arent ready and both of you are pretty young just travel, go out do the things that 20 something's do enjoy yourselves to the fullest and when you both have stable jobs and can afford to live comfortably and know that you still belong together then settle down and get married wish i would have waited till i was about 30-35.

I say settle down when you both feel ready to do so. It wouldn't feel right if he was ready and you wasn't and vice versa.
