The 351m and 400 Ford engines were not power houses by any standard .... a stock 351m barely makes 150 hp.... these engines were fords attempt to get some of their big vehicles through 70's emission standards. They were successful at the emissions thing but did not perform well and were very heavy compared to other Ford motors.... you'd be better off swapping to a 302 or 351 Cleveland.... but if you insist on the keeping the modified you can probably get 250 to 300 hp with the proper carb/intake/cam/ignition and exhaust setup.... good luck

Yes, probably about 250HP. The 302 is a better engine. It's basically the same as the 351 except they dropped the deck and put different heads and intake on it. I've never like the 351, they just don't seem to have the pep I like. Enjoy.

F u c k ford, and you have to be more specific, and there's no such thing as lenghtened pistons, there's shorter pistons in stroker applications.
