We have a clothing business and have a huge opportunity ahead of us, but we are severely undercapitalized. We are slowly recovering from a crippling loss in 2004 which has left us with really nasty credit. Is there anything out there that can help us obtain funds to take advantage of this opportunity which will put us back on track and pay off our bills?

Find out if the nearest universities to you have a Small Business Development Center. Many do. They offer free business counseling. Some are more organized than others. I used to work at one that was very well developed and had great services.
They would be associated with the Business School at the university, so you could just call the B-School and ask.

If you don't have a business plan, they will hold you down and force you to write one. They assist with it.

Sorry to say, but finding funding with bad credit is darn hard.

See if the SBA has any tips (Small Business Administration)

Wear your products out and when people ask about them, well, give them your sales pitch.
