I HAVE BEEN TTC AS WELL. I CHARTED MY CYCLES WRONG, I THOUGHT THAT I HAD A NORMAL 30 DAY CYCLE. TURNED OUT I WAS COUNTING FROM THE LAST DAY OF MY PERIOD TO THE 1ST DAY OF THE NEXT ONE. I'M CURRENTLY USING MYMONTHLYCYCLES.COM IT CHARTS YOUR PERIODS AND YOUR FERTILE DAYS. YOU JUST ENTER AT LEAST YOUR LAST 6 PERIODS AND IT WILL GIVE YOU YOUR AVERAGE CYCLE AND WHEN YOUR PERIOD WILL BE EXPECTED. TRY IT OUT, IT ACTUALLY WORKS AND ITS FREE. GOOD LUCK

Your cycle is from day 1 of your period to the day before your next one. Your new cycle starts on day 1 of that period. A cycle is usually somewhere between 28-32 days.

You count the 1st day you start your period. How long it lasts is not as important. If you try to chart, always mark down the 1st day of your period. You are most fertile the mid point between your periods. Yes, you start counting beginning the 1st day of your period, 'til the 1st day of your next period.

Yes, charting your cycle can be confusing and somewhat complicated, especially when your cycles are not the *typical* 28 days.... but there are some great websites out there that can help make the process a lot easier for you.

www.fertilityfriend.com

www.americanpregnancy.org

www.FertileDays.com

Hope this helps. Best wishes!

I assume you are either wanting to know when you are fertile or how to count your cycle?!
Well to count your cycle it's from the first day of your period to the first day of you next one, but don't count the days your next period.
general is around 27-30 days. thats the norm!

you are fertile 14 days BEFORE your period!

Good Luck TTC!

Here is the easiest place to start. Go to webmd.com and they have a fertility calendar... you put in your period dates and it gives you the best days to "try" I know other sites have them too... you can google fertility calendar or ovulation predictor.
