Here is some info, about lortab>>
Lortab® is the brand name for the combination of acetaminophen (Tylenol) and hydrocodone. Lortab® is prescribed for moderate to moderately severe pain. Hydrocodone binds to the pain receptors in the brain so that the sensation of pain is reduced. Acetaminophen halts the production of prostaglandins which otherwise cause pain. It is available in tablet, capsule, and liquid form and is taken every 4-6 hours by mouth. Since hydrocodone can be habit forming, care must be taken to follow the doctor's instructions when taking Lortab®. Do not take a larger dose, or take it more frequently, or take it for longer than the doctor prescribes..
Info for Vicodin>>

Yes it is possible, there are higher mg's of the hydrocodone in the lortab than in the Vicodin. They mg's of Tylenol remain the same when comparing Lortab to Vicodin however. You are correct also in saying that they are the same medication just different strengths.

I would say yes to that question. Many of the generic drugs are supposed to be the same as the name brand and contain the same ingreidients. NOT SO. One good example is Coumadin and Warfarin. Even tho both are "rat poisons"...they will NOT work the same on all people. Lortabs will constipate you in one day if you don't take precautions. Lortabs are also VERY addictive. Pops

I had a horrible reaction to Lortab while I felt wonderful with Vicodin. I think it is related to each person's physical make-up. Tell your doctor or drug dealer about your reaction.

You could be experiencing the placebo effect. But, isn't Lortab the generic version? Sometimes generics give different effects, but for the most part, they're just cheaper in price. Not always, some generics are completely different.

It is possible.
They are almost the same drug, but they have a different carrying ability in the molecules.
Also, a lot of people psychologically respond to drugs...
I'm not saying this is the case for you, but it does happen.
