Got any horror stories about nose piercings I should know about before I consider getting my nose pierced?
(I'm in my late 20's - I'm not a kid)

I'd get it pierced like the Bolllywood girls get it done - on the thin bit of the nostril.
I'd expect some initial pain and healing time, but infections... how are they caused and what other problems may result?

hi, i had it done three times. i hate pain, but if you want something done i believe you feel it less. the first time the needle broke and was stuck in my nose, it was removed within 10 seconds. bleeding?not really. like you squeeze a pimple, similar pain.a bit of blood, but after wiping it with a tissue you are perfect to go out anywhere. the only thing is , you are not allowed to change the rings, because of possibility of getting an infection.but you supposed to twist it . the reason i had it done so many times because of that. in the first three days, the inside of it develop es a swelling, but it goes away. nothing outside though. it will look perfect. in order not to get infection, i found that french strong alcohol based perfumes or colognes work better than the stuff they provide. spray on the nose ring and maybe on the cotton bud and just go in the pierced spot inside. i love them and never go back.

It hurts for about three seconds. Then, it just stays a little sore for a week or so. You can use analgesics/antiseptics like Bactine to help it heal and for soreness. It's not that bad. I thought it hurt more getting my ear cartilage pierced.

It hurts terribly so I've heard. A couple people I know told me they knew some people who got their nose pierced and had to deal with icky infections.... don't do it.

No.its exactly like getting your ears pierced except the sting will be on your nose.at first you think i wanna do this but I'm scared, but is easier to get it over with. trust me i got my nose pierced when i was 8.its not as bad as it seems.(im 24)

I've seen someone get it done. It didnt hurt at first but after a while it did. And have fun taking it out for the first time, and then trying to get it back in!!! Have fun!

Yes. Lots of blood. And heaven forbid you get a booger in the first 3 weeks, just more pain and more blood.

Yes. It hurts. My nose bled for hours. Not to mention the constant cleaning.

Just think about when you have to blow your nose and the stud pokes you real hard and how that will hurt. I wouldn't do that for a million bucks

a b!tch I went to school with got her nose pierced and then the next day she posted a picture on myspace and you could see the blood inside her nose....
