British nobility in the early 1500s. At that time in England, the peasants were called "lisps", and their speech differed distinctly from the nobility. The nobles started calling that sort of speech "lisp speech", and eventually just "lisp".

yeah, i be responsive to. yet you be responsive to what the saddest lisp tale ever is? i've got had a lisp on account that kindergarten, i've got constantly beeen made relaxing of for it constantly. human beings might thieve my stuff each and all of the time, and unload it everywhere in the area and speak to me "Daffy duck" and imitate each and every thing I mentioned, purely with an exagerated lisp. So this summer season i desperate i grew to become into going to lose the lisp, and that i grew to become into like, ok i visit artwork rather difficult in this and it is generally long previous via fall. It took 5 minutes to suited, now i don't even could desire to think of approximately it. fml.
