Help? Find the variable and KL if K is between J and L?

JK = 6r , KL = 3r and JL = 27

I can get this far 6r+3r=27
9r=27 then what?

|JL|=|JK|+|KL|
6r+3r=27
9r=27
Divide each side by nine.
r=27/9
r=3

Check:
JK=6r=6*3=18
KL=3r=3*3=9
18+9=27
It is true.
