Yeah, why is it assumed you're wearing pants?

Because it is a crime to not wear any clothing on your private areas. But it is not against the law to go shirtless (for men) and shoeless. But it is in places that sell food. Pants are already covered in another law is the basic answer.

i even got one of my guy friends to shopw up to a store like that with a shirt, shoes, and just boxers on... he got chased out of the store though D:

Try it go into your neighbourhood store wearing only your shirt and shoes. see what they do. Always felt that if you can't do the right thing go for the laugh.

lmao. I have always thought about that. I asked my friend what would happen if someone went in with no pants on. She didnt know. One of us has to try that one day.

it's a given. people automatically assume you'd wear pants, which is why they don't include that in the signs. on hot days guys are shirtless... you think they'd ever wear a tshirt with their briefs? no.
