Do elderly people who break the law deserve special treatment by police or other members of law enforcement or the justice system. I.E. 64 year old "Shamika" was traveling the wrong way on an exit ramp and has a head on collision with a person going the right way, causing DEATH to the person in the right lane. Should "Shamika" be written a citation at the scene, should she be charged criminally? Should law enforcment personnel treat her specially at the scene. Should she be arrested?

Everyone should be treated the same under the law. That's what makes it a law and not just a guideline. Regardless of the driver's age, it will not make the victim any less dead.

First of all i think that there should be more strict testing on the elderly, because some people get a drivers licence when they are 30, and its good for 50 something years, a lot changes in 50 years. Secondly i think anyone that kills someone should get the same treatment, it doesn't change the fact just because the elderly, someones loved one is dead. she should be arrested and prosecuted as a 64 year the same as an 18 year old.

WELL DID SHE DO IT ON PURPOSE OR JUST GET TURNED AROUND OR WAS SHE SICK THERE ARE MANY THINGS TO LOOK AT AND IF IT WAS AN ACCIDENT THEN I HOPE THAT THE COURTS WOULD HAVE SOME COMPASSION AS I AM SURE IF THE WOMAN REALIZES WHAT SHE HAS DONE WILL PUNISH HERSELF MORE THAN ANY JUDGE COULD ALL PEOPLE REGARDLESS OF INFRACTION SHOULD BE TREATED WITH RESPECT AND OUR LAW OFFICERS DO JUST THAT EVERYONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED AS A HUMAN

I think that when people get to the age that they can't see to drive anymore, they need to have their license revoked. That way, nobody will be hurt by them running over someone.
