to the best of my experience the oil is added through the air inlet .I give it a few drops every time I use it

catfish is right. I have used a lot of different sized and types of impact (air) equipment. If it starts to hesitate or not run as fast as when new, or sticks, you just add oil to the air input connector. any kind of light oil, 3-in-1, kroil, penetrating oil.
