He has a lot of Hendrix in his guitar style. Personally hes a little Michael Jacksonish in his weirdness. Saturday Night Live does a great spoof of Prince having a talk show and Beyonce (played by Maya Rudolph) being his sidekick.Hes easy to satire.
Back to your question, generally NO, except for his guitar soloing abilities. I like his guitar style.

I liked him when he was "Prince". Not so much when he was the symbol or "the artist formerly known as Prince".
Good grief..how can anyone compare Prince to Jimi Hendrix?!? Or is there another "Hendrix"?
