low testosterone.
This is the main sex drive hormone.
without this you have no sex drive. (even applies for females)

have his hormone level checked.
Also wearing tight jeans can cause problems also, as the testicles do not like it hot, that's why they are on the out side of the body, so they can stay a little cooler.

My answer is that while he can speak to an MD about it, I doubt that the Dr can DO anything about it. Even if his testosterone is normal - he must consider: did he always have alow drive? Or is this very recent.? Remember that some guys have genetically lower drives than others. it's like appetite for food - people differ naturally.

Then there are other causes: debilitation, illness, stress, depression, distraction by work or study, etc. problems going on in his life, & much much more . Also, after the teens a guy's libido lessens with every year.

Yes he can talk all he wants to a Dr. - but the dr has no magic wand to light his fire. Let him try Traditional chinese drugs, Indian medicines, Southeast Asian herbs, they all help a bit.
I tried them they helped a bit - but I cannot take many tonics, since I'm hypertensive & forbidden to take Yang tonics. But if he's normotensive - there's so much for him to buy & try. He'll enjoy trying Indian tonics , Tibetan drugs, Indonesian herbs, chinese tonics for MEN.

I'm now drinking much soymilk, using soy extracts, & my libido is way down. I love it. I don't need the nuisance & the urges. Really. It's always limp. Now I'm apathetic to sex - & I know if I avoid all lustful sins - then I'll be accepted into heaven when I die. It's that simple. Sex is not worth an eternity in hell for sins of lust. For heaven, it's worth denying my manhood & living just like a eunuch. it's worth it 100%

There are many, many reasons why a 25 y/o might have a low sex drive. First, has it always been low (and what does he consider low?). I am a twin and we are both married and fortunately we have an open relationship and are able to discuss a number of pretty private things. Sex being one of them. So I know that when he first got married normal for them was 2 to 3 times a day for the first 12 to about16 months. Normal for me & my wife was 5 to7 times a week for the same time period. I don't know why he can't talk to a doctor unless he is just really extremely shy. If so why not suggest "Web MD" on the internet or check the front of his Telephone Book most usually have a list of numbers and agencies he could contact without the fear of embarassment. I hope all works out. Good ! Thom

street drugs, prescription drugs, a low testosterone level, diabetes, depression, etc. can all be contributing factors to a low sex drive. this male should see a urologist, endocrinologist, and maybe even a psychiatrist to try to find out if there is an underlying cause. howerver, if the male is content with a low sex drive, you can't force him to seek help. only if he's willing to openly discuss his sex life (or lack thereof) will a doctor be of any help.
from experience, doctors have heard about this situation many, many times. it should not be an embarrassment as ALL men experience it from time to time. don't beat yourself up. seek professional help.

Look into whether you are getting enough zinc in your diet, as well as whether you're eating enough calories. You should be eating enough daily to maintain your body weight (roughly 2500 kcal in normal males). Basically, if your missing some important factors in your diet then your testosterone levels may be low. As I'm sure you can imagine, testosterone is kind of important for male sex drive, as well as other things. If you pick up your diet, it's likely that you're drive will pick up again. My advice, though, is to see your GP. If you're concerned about anything you should always speak to your doctor about it rather than asking people online. The latter only leads to fear mongering and misinformation.

A bad diet can cause that. If eating plenty of healthy food doesn't help, then I think he should see a doctor. Fruit, vegetables, lean meat, and whole grains should be a part of his diet. I suspect that will help, but I think he will ultimately need to see a doctor. Tell him that doctors are there to help, and that his health is too precious to overlook for any reason. Doctors handle that sort of thing all the time, and there is no good reason that your friend should continue to suffer. Good night!

The truth: lack of intrest. It is displaced in other areas (women or men).
Frustration. Stress anxiety pressure. Shame. boredome,
really more info would be necessary to acurately diagnose. but these are all factors.
But in many relationships this is common, job trouble, relationship trouble, getting out of shape.
I hope this helps

One of the contributing factors to low sex drive could be due to diet. Foods high in fat, low in fiber are foods to cut out of one's diet. Also, being over weight and lack of exercise could be another contributing factor.
