All of the above. I was stumped one day. Looked all over the net and out of frustration gave up. As I actually took the time to read all that little print here and there on my screen. Never even notice it before, so I clicked on Yahoo answers and within 3 minutes I had answers. Good ones too. I was impressed and excited to receive the information. Told my friend about it and then she got hooked, started talking about points and levels; I was like, "What" so I went back to check all this out and there you have it. I actually answer more questions than I ask. I get aggravated with the immature kids who just come on to dork around. But other than that, It's fun and informative.

at first i did it to help. i loved the feeling (and still do) of getting best answers. i stayed at the Sci & Math before. then i found friends and discovered the human aspect of Y!A. i started answering different categories. Now, i do it to meet interesting questions which make me realize things in the process. sometimes i do it for the fun, or simply ask questions about what lies in the path ahead.
