Can I pull the pitman arm from the steering box on a '73 vette and still leave it attatched to the steering cross member,, will it move enough to do this?

They are a bear. The puller may not get it. If it is really on there, you may have to take the steering gear off. Good luck.

It should be able to move that far. You will need to got to Auto-zone or somewhere like that and get a loaner "Pitman Arm Puller". You just need to put down a small deposit to borrow it.

You need a puller. You can buy them cheap at PEP Boys or even Auto Zone Auto Store. About 12- 20 dollars. Hope this helped...
