Theology Major???

Question

Can someone please reccommend a university where they offer Theology as a major is southern California? Ive tred and tried and have only foundschool that offer Religion Studies as a major, which is alright i guess, but i really have my heart set on earning a degree in Theology, any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Although you do not provide your reasons for preferring theology over religion, I will assume that you wish to study theology because you hold a particular religious committment, and you only want to study within that religious tradition.

I am sure, then, that you understand that Theology is taught only in Christian colleges, and that each Christian college will offer a different interpretation of Christian theology. (Catholic colleges will teach Catholic theology, Seventh Day Adventist colleges will teach Seventh Day Adventist theology, etc.).

What you should do is search for the institutions (a nationwide search would be best) affiliated with your particular Christian denomination (Lutheran, Methodist, etc.).

P.S. The best schools that I know of that are nationally renouned for Theological studies are Wheaton college in Illinois and Trinity university also in IL.
