Student bested Teacher in a story?

I need a story (or stories) where the student went aginst the teacher and won. Or when the student just became better than the teacher.
Anyone know any?

Einstein was once told by his professor [at the Polytechnic]Herman Minkowski that he was a lazy dog and would never amount to anything cause he didn't grasp the maths.
Einstein's physics instructor Jean Pernet told him " You're enthusiastic, but hopeless at physics." And advised him to switch to things like medicine, literature or law.

There's the story of the pompous English teacher who was boring on and on about double negatives. You know, like when you say "I didn't not do it".

"A double negative makes a positive. On the other hand there is no instance in which a double positive makes a negative."

And a voice from the back of the class says, "Yeah, right."
